Boyd & Jenerette Clients Prevail in Final Merits Hearing

September 29, 2017 by on News

Linda Wagner Farrell prevailed for client Capps Land Management and Summit after a lengthy final merits hearing. On September 24, 2017, JCC Holley in Jacksonville denied compensability and death benefits. This was a complicated claim with two employer / carriers, a factually intensive case, and nine witnesses testifying at the final merits hearing. JCC found that the claimant was not in the course and scope of his employment, and was not in traveling employee status, when he stopped after work to repair a skid steer construction loader that was given to him by a third party.
