Patrick Martin resides in Pensacola, Florida and handles tort cases throughout the state. Since 2019, Patrick has been designated as a Board-Certified Specialist in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar. In more than 25 years of practice, Patrick has litigated and tried a variety of cases to state and federal juries, including motor-vehicle liability suits, 1st-party UM/UIM claims, CGL, premises security and slip/fall claims, “dram shop” claims, E&O claims, and maritime losses. Before joining Boyd & Jenerette, Patrick managed a staff counsel office for a major national automobile insurer, overseeing multiple attorneys and staff and managing a docket of hundreds of auto liability and 1st-party UM lawsuits. He previously worked in several regional defense firms, as well as his own practice. Patrick has significant experience handling all phases of claims handling, from pre-suit investigation and EUOs, through litigation and trial, and post-trial motions and appeals.
Patrick focuses his practice in the areas of insurance defense, general liability and personal injury litigation, including automobile liability, 1st-party UM/UIM claims, commercial general liability, premises liability, and professional liability claims. Patrick is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Florida and Alabama.
