Stephanie Masonbrink focuses her practice on auto liability, premises liability, general litigation, and insurance defense.
Her experience in defending motor vehicle claims ranges from low impact collisions to more complex multi-vehicle accidents. She handles first party and third party claims, representing both insureds and insurance carriers, as well as contested liability disputes.
Ms. Masonbrink also handles trucking accidents which typically result in more extensive injuries and damages. One recent trucking matter involved an uninsured motorist claim and a workers’ compensation element, with the truck driver suing both the insured employer and the insurance company.
In the area of premises liability, Ms. Masonbrink represents commercial property owners in slip, trip and fall claims and allegations of negligent security. Prior to joining the firm, she gained experienced in defending a national cable company in disputes involving residential installations for both occupied residential properties as well as new housing development construction projects with cable installations.
She has served as second chair in two trials. In one trial she defended a Florida sheriff’s office in a civil auto accident case involving a law enforcement officer. The other trial related to a premises liability matter for a slip and fall in the rental office of an apartment complex.
Mediation is also an important part of her practice. Ms. Masonbrink has resolved a multitude of cases in her current practice using alternative dispute resolution techniques. Her focus is on helping clients to resolve matters as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Ms. Masonbrink comes from a military family. Her father served 30 years in the U.S. Navy and her mother served as a center director for the United Services Organization (USO), a charitable organization serving active-duty service members and military families. Ms. Masonbrink also volunteers with the Mayport USO of Greater Jacksonville as time permits.
In 2020, Ms. Masonbrink and her husband welcomed their first child, a son, into their family.
