On Thursday August 23rd attorneys of Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. attended the Easter Seals Small Miracles Luncheon in support of the Easter Seals of South Florida. This luncheon raised much needed funding and awareness for the children and adults in the care of Easter Seals.

Carlos Rodriguez in our Miami office has been involved with the Easter Seals for a number of years having served as Chair of their Easter Seals Walk With Me event and currently serves on their development committee.

Easter Seals started making miracles happen in Miami in 1942, during a polio epidemic. Children needed therapy and education; but public schools would not accept them. So a group of parents and therapists opened a special school in a church basement. Today the Easter Seals serve 2,000 people in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, employ 250, and engage more than a thousand volunteers with the mission of providing exceptional services for children and adults with disabilities can live, learn, work and play in our community.
