Boyd & Jenerette is pleased to welcome Associate Attorneys Jillian E. Pratt and Kate A. Aguiar to the firm.

Kate A. Aguiar is an Associate at Boyd & Jenerette, P.A., practicing in the Jacksonville office. Her practice focuses on Auto Liability Defense, General Litigation, Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith, Insurance Defense, Premises Liability, and Trucking and Transportation. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced with a south Florida defense firm.

After graduating from Boston University with a degree in Hispanic Language and Literature, Ms. Aguiar worked as an English teacher in Ecuador. She then attended Florida State University College of Law and graduated in 2006.

She is the mother of two children, a pet lover, and group fitness enthusiast.

Jillian E. Pratt is an Associate of Boyd & Jenerette, P.A., practicing in the Jacksonville office. Her practice primarily focuses on appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Pratt gained experience in civil, administrative, and criminal appeals as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Timothy D. Osterhaus at the First District Court of Appeal. She then served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit in Tallahassee, Florida, where she represented the State in trials and motion hearings.

While in law school, Ms. Pratt served as a teaching assistant in Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy courses. In addition, she interned with a federal judge and a non-profit organization.

In her free time, Ms. Pratt enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being involved in her church, and singing classical music.
