Boyd & Jenerette is pleased to welcome Attorney Leslie A. Sloan to the firm.

Leslie Sloan is a Senior Associate in the Jacksonville, Florida office. Born in Thomasville, Georgia, she attended Valdosta State University (B.A., 2005) and attended Florida Coastal School of Law (J.D., 2009). She is a skilled litigator whose practice extends nationwide to the defense of employers and carriers in maritime claims arising under the Longshore Workers’ Compensation Act and its extensions, the Defense Base Act, and general maritime tort claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Leslie spent many years representing the rights of insureds in third-party negligence actions and injured workers in claims arising under the Longshore and Defense Base Act. She then transitioned to a national full-service defense firm where she focused on personal injury, first-party property, premises liability, and general liability matters. Leslie’s extensive background allows her to analyze claims from a unique perspective and quickly obtain favorable results for clients.

In her spare time, Leslie enjoys spending time on the water, working out, traveling, photography, art, and assisting the underprivileged and battered women.
