Zero Verdict Achieved in Personal Injury Defense

September 26, 2017 by on News

Boyd & Jenerette attorneys Kristie Schrader, Kathryn Oughton and their team obtained a zero verdict for their clients in a personal injury action in a North Florida court. The Plaintiff, who was only 20 years old at the time of the accident, claimed personal injuries including a right knee injury with resulting surgery, low back and neck injuries. She also claimed that she was unable to work as a phlebotomist since the accident several years prior to the trial.

The defense argued that Plaintiff was at fault for the accident for violating the Defendant’s right of way and that she was distracted by use of her cellular telephone. The defense also argued that the knee surgery was the result of pre-existing conditions and that Plaintiff suffered no back or neck injury from the accident. The jury found no liability on the part of the Defendants.
