Walker E. Berry is an associate of Boyd & Jenerette, P.A., working in the firm’s Jacksonville office. His practice is focused primarily on general civil litigation and insurance defense, including coverage and bad-faith issues. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Berry gained experience clerking for the Honorable Judge Meredith L. Sasso at Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal. Before his clerkship with Judge Sasso, Mr. Berry lived in South Carolina and clerked for the Honorable Jean H. Toal, Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court, during her tenure as an active-retired judge presiding over the state’s asbestos litigation, as well as other complex civil litigation matters.
Mr. Berry is a Jacksonville native who attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies. He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he graduated with honors. While in law school, Mr. Berry was an avid member of the school’s mock trial team and volunteered as an arbitrator with the Lexington County Juvenile Arbitration program. He received the 2018 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award and the Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough Center on Professionalism Award for his work at the school’s Domestic Violence Law Clinic. He is licensed to practice in Florida and South Carolina.
