OBELCHENKO-300x277The Florida Bar has appointed Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. Senior Associate Olesia Belchenko, to the 11th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee for a three-year term.

The grievance committee reviews complaints with much the same purpose as a grand jury. That is, the committee decides, after a case is submitted to them by bar counsel, whether there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida and whether discipline against the lawyer appears to be warranted.

Belchenko’s practice focuses on resolution of commercial disputes, including banking, construction and real estate. Belchenko has broad appellate experience, representing local and national banks, financial institutions, the aviation industry, as well as automotive finance companies before Florida’s appellate courts. She often advises clients on Florida’s lien laws, including foreclosure procedures for construction liens and aircraft liens.

Ms. Belchenko has extensive experience with matters involving foreign parties and international law, particularly, with questions related to service of process abroad, and enforcement of judgments obtained in the United States in foreign countries.
