Boyd & Jenerette Obtains Summary Judgment for Client in Product Liability Claim

Boyd & Jenerette Shareholder Robert E. Schrader, III, obtained a summary judgment on behalf of a national home improvement retailer in a product liability case. The plaintiff sat in a chair at a restaurant and the chair broke, then alleged injuries which resulted in two back fusion surgeries. The plaintiff sued the owner of the restaurant, the co-defendant, who claimed they bought the chair at the retailer. Boyd & Jenerette Trial Team Achieves Defense Verdict in Liability Case

Shareholder Kristen Van der Linde and partner Kristie R. Schrader successfully defended a client in a contested liability case involving a motor vehicle accident. The trial team achieved a defense verdict on the liability portion of the case which was bifurcated for trial. The trial took place at the Brevard County Courthouse and all witnesses attended live for the proceedings in March 2021.
