Kristen Van der Linde Speaks at 2011 Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel Retreat

vanderlinde-202x300Kristen Van der Linde, Shareholder of Boyd & Jenerette, spoke at the 2011 Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel Retreat held at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island.  The Retreat took place on August 19 through August 21, 2011.

Ms. Van der Linde gave a presentation on “Bad Faith Law and Litigation in Florida.”  She covered the history and structure of common-law and statutory Bad Faith law in Florida, good-faith claims handling, Florida’s Civil Remedy Notice system, litigation of extra-contractual liability lawsuits, duties of insurers, and the role of retained defense counsel.
