Lovecia Holmes-Oglesby is an Associate Attorney at Boyd & Jenerette. She practices auto liability defense, insurance defense and general litigation. Prior to joining Boyd & Jenerette, Lovecia practiced Maritime law at Aronfeld Trial Lawyers, in Coral Gables, Florida.

Lovecia was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. She later moved to Miami, Florida to attend college at Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Additionally, Lovecia earned an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies. After completing college, Lovecia worked as a Certified Paralegal for 6 years. While working as a paralegal, Lovecia gained extensive experience and knowledge in the legal field focusing on personal injury and foreclosure litigation cases.

In 2012 she attended Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad School of Law, during which she was chosen to compete in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition and successfully advanced to multiple rounds of the mock trial. While studying law she also served as a LexisNexis Associate, assisting law students with research navigation in the highly regarded LexisNexis research database. Further, Lovecia worked as an intern at the Office of the Attorney General in the Consumer Protection Division.

Lovecia is a very family oriented person. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three year old daughter.
