Boyd & Jenerette Shareholder Mark Eckels will be speaking at the 29th Annual Workers’ Compensation Winter Retreat presented by the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Section on March 5th, 2013 in Lake Tahoe, California. Mr. Eckels will be presenting ‘Competing Jurisdictional Issues, Including Jones Act Longshore & WC’, providing practice tips on what questions to ask and what issues to look for to make the proper jurisdiction determinations.

Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. Partner and Sports & Enterainment Practice Group Leader, Alan Fertel will be speaking at the 2013 Entertainment and Sports Law Symposium on Saturday, March 9th at St. Thomas University School of Law. The Symposium will include panels on Intellectual Property, NCAA Compliance and Immigration. Mr. Fertel will be speaking on  the NCAA compliance panel sharing his expertise on compliance regulations and various NCAA violations.            

Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. Associate, Maria Soledad Bodero has been elected president of the Miami charity Fundacion Chichi Puig which raises funds to benefit Casa Thalia, a home in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The home provides shelter, education, and care for girls and young ladies that have been exposed to the dangers of who have been victims of severe abuse.
