Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. Associate, Kansas Gooden has been appointed Chair of the 2013 Florida Bar Appellate Section’s “Hot Topics in Appellate Law” seminar.

This bi-annual CLE seminar is designed to provide an update of topical issues currently affecting appellate practice in the state of Florida. It is structured so as to give trial and appellate counsel a view from sitting appellate judges, as well as observations from recently retired appellate judges.

Ms. Gooden is a skilled appellate attorney who focuses primarily on civil appeals, insurance coverage and bad faith/extra-contractual liability litigation. Ms. Gooden was selected by Florida Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in 2011 and 2012. She also is active in First District Appellate Inn of Court where she serves as a Barrister and is Vice Chair of the Appellate Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association.
