Boyd & Jenerette’s Kimberly J. Woods Featured in Attorney at Law Magazine: Her Vision as President-Elect of Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association

Boyd & Jenerette is proud to announce that senior associate Kimberly J. Woods has been elected as president-elect of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA).
Recently, Ms. Woods sat down with Attorney at Law Magazine to discuss her goals and upcoming responsibilities during her appointed term. As the first African American woman to hold this position, Ms. Woods plans to focus on community service, membership growth, and the continued diversification within the legal profession.

About Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA)
The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA) was founded in 1982 to provide support and networking for women lawyers in Jacksonville, Florida. JWLA membership is open to all attorneys, male or female, in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding counties. JWLA is a Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.
JWLA’s mission is to actively promote gender equality and the leadership roles of its members in the legal profession, judiciary and community at large.
JWLA strives to accomplish its mission through CLE Luncheons addressing issues of importance to women and focused on achieving gender equality, networking receptions, supporting members for appointments to Florida Bar Standing Committees and JNCs, providing oversight of the JNC process, nominating deserving members for awards and recognition, and lobbying local and State government on non-partisan issues that align with the mission.

About Kimberly J. Woods
Kimberly Woods is a Senior Associate Attorney in Boyd & Jenerette’s Jacksonville office. She practices auto liability defense, insurance defense and general litigation.
Ms. Woods has been recognized in Best Lawyers® Ones to Watch in America™Commercial Litigation: 2023 and listed in The National Black Lawyers list of Top 40 Under 40 in 2021. During her time in law school, Ms. Woods was awarded Best Civil Defense Team, Best Cross Examination, and Best Advocate in her Trial Practice class and participated in the 2014 Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
Ms. Woods has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2015 and Jacksonville Bar Association since 2016. She served as the chair for JBA’s Senior Holiday Project from 2017-2020, as well as heading the Law Week Naturalization Ceremony since 2017 and Rendezvous on the Rooftop from 2018 to 2023. She currently serves as the President-Elect and Treasurer for Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and is the Administrative Officer of the D.W. Perkins Bar Association.
