Boyd & Jenerette is pleased to announce that Senior Associate Attorney Kimberly Woods has been elected Administrative Officer of the D.W. Perkins Bar Association for 2022-2023 term. This will be Ms. Woods’ second term serving as Administrative Officer.
The Daniel Webster Perkins Bar Association, Inc. was named after the great pioneer, D.W. Perkins, who was one of the first African-Americans to practice law in Duval County. Its mission and purpose continue to be that of a change agent to improve the plight of the African-American Community and to combat the effects of racial and social injustices.
About Kimberly Woods:
Kimberly Woods practices auto liability defense, insurance defense and general litigation. Ms. Woods has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2015 and Jacksonville Bar Association since 2016. She served as the chair for JBA’s Senior Holiday Project from 2017 to 2021, as well as heading the Law Week Naturalization Ceremony in 2017 and Rendezvous on the Rooftop 2018 to 2022. She currently serves as the President-Elect and Treasurer for Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and is the Administrative Officer of the D.W. Perkins Bar Association.
Kimberly was selected in April of 2020 as an Academy Fellow for Class VIII of The Florida Bar Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy. Her term covers the 2020-2021 membership year. Ms. Woods is also a member of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee.
