Boyd & Jenerette congratulates Kimberly Woods on being elected as President-Elect of the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association. She will serve as President-Elect for the 2022-2023 and her Presidency will run for the 2023-2024 term. Ms. Woods will be the organization’s first black president when she starts her Presidency in 2023.
The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association (JWLA) was founded in 1982 to provide support and networking for women lawyers in Jacksonville, Florida. JWLA membership is open to all attorneys, male or female, in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding counties. JWLA is a chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL).
Their mission is to actively promote gender equality and the leadership roles of our members in the legal profession, judiciary and community at large.
About Kimberly Woods:
Kimberly Woods practices auto liability defense, insurance defense and general litigation. Ms. Woods has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2015 and Jacksonville Bar Association since 2016. She served as the chair for JBA’s Senior Holiday Project from 2017 to 2021, as well as heading the Law Week Naturalization Ceremony in 2017 and Rendezvous on the Rooftop 2018 to 2022. She currently serves as the President-Elect and Treasurer for Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association.
Kimberly was selected in April of 2020 as an Academy Fellow for Class VIII of The Florida Bar Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy. Her term covers the 2020-2021 membership year. Ms. Woods is also a member of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee.
