On October 2, 2020, Judge Ralph Humphries entered an order denying benefits to a claimant on the grounds that he violated the misrepresentation provisions of Florida Statute §440.105(4)(b) and §440.09(4).  In the case of All State Steel Inc of Jacksonville v. Fourth District Reverses Trial Court for Dismissing Prospective Jurors Based on Written Answers Without Allowing Oral Questioning to Rehabilitate

The Fourth District Court of Appeal issued an opinion holding that the trial court erred by excluding eight prospective jurors based solely on their written juror questionnaire responses without first allowing counsel to question the jurors on impartiality. Trial Court Has Discretion to Place Time Limitations On Voir Dire

The First District Court of Appeal recently issued an opinion explaining the breadth of a trial court’s discretion in limiting parties’ opportunity to conduct voir dire.  In Tallahassee Housing Authority v.
