Boyd & Jenerette Promotes Four Attorneys to Partner

Boyd & Jenerette is proud to announce four outstanding attorneys as our newest partners. Their commitment to excellence and dedication to our firm and clients have been invaluable, making them instrumental additions to our leadership team.

These highly accomplished individuals have continually demonstrated their legal acumen and steadfast dedication to providing exceptional service. We are thrilled to recognize their contributions and promote them to the position of partner within the firm.

Nadine J. Foehl - Nadine has been a valuable member of the Boyd & Jenerette team since 2017 and has consistently proven her work ethic to us and, more importantly, to her clients.

Based in the Boca Raton office, Ms. Foehl concentrates her practice on construction law representing general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in construction-related disputes. Ms. Foehl is also experienced in defending claims involving personal injury, products liability, and general negligence.

Carla M. Newman - Carla has been an integral part of the Boyd & Jenerette team since 2022, consistently demonstrating her exceptional work ethic, earning respect from us and her clients.

Based in the Jacksonville office, Ms. Newman concentrates her practice in auto liability defense, insurance defense, and general litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Senior Trial Attorney for an insurance company, providing defense for motor vehicle claims. Ms. Newman defended bodily injury claims, collaborated with the claims department to discuss litigation strategies, and facilitated the settlement of circuit civil lawsuits.

Wesley L. Ridout - Wes' presence on the Boyd & Jenerette team since 2022 has been invaluable, consistently showcasing his strong work ethic, a quality highly regarded by both us and his clients.

Based in the Jacksonville office, Mr. Ridout concentrates his practice in first party property insurance claims, but he also has substantial experience in creditor’s rights and bankruptcy. His litigation experience includes practicing in both state and Federal Courts around the United States, including multiple class action cases and appellate work. He is adept at handling heavily contested matters from presuit through appeal and takes pride in his work product. He is conscientious of each client’s respective preferences and goals on each individual case and is dedicated to achieving the most favorable outcome for his clients.

Kimberly J. Woods - A key member of the Boyd & Jenerette team since 2019, Kim has consistently illustrated her exceptional work ethic, earning the trust and respect of both us and her clients.

Based in the Jacksonville office, Ms. Woods focuses her practice on auto liability defense, insurance defense and general litigation. Ms. Woods has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2015 and Jacksonville Bar Association since 2016. She served as the chair for JBA’s Senior Holiday Project in 2017, 2018 and 2019, as well as heading the Law Week Naturalization Ceremony in 2017 and Rendezvous on the Rooftop from 2018 to 2022. She currently serves as the President for Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association and the Administrative Officer of the D.W. Perkins Bar Association.

 


 

Nadine J. Foehl

Nadine J. Foehl is a partner with Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. practicing in the Boca Raton office. She currently concentrates her practice on construction law representing general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in construction-related disputes.

Ms. Foehl handles construction claims involving defects, breach of contract, negligence, delay and insurance coverage. She is building her construction law experience with a goal of ultimately becoming Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar.

Ms. Foehl gained trial experience in 2018 as second chair to partner Tom Berger during back-to-back trials. One matter involved a slip and fall injury, and in the other trial the firm defended an insurance carrier being sued by an insured in a motor vehicle claim.

Ms. Foehl is also experienced in defending claims involving personal injury, products liability, and general negligence.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Foehl represented clients in a variety of matters including contract disputes, fraud claims, and actions under Florida’s Private Whistleblower statute. In law school, Ms. Foehl was the technical editor of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Carla M. Newman is a partner in the Jacksonville, Florida office. Her practice areas are auto liability defense, insurance defense, and general litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Senior Trial Attorney for an insurance company, providing defense for motor vehicle claims. Ms. Newman defended bodily injury claims, collaborated with the claims department to discuss litigation strategies, and facilitated the settlement of circuit civil lawsuits.

Ms. Newman gained trial experience as an Assistant State Attorney with the Office of the State Attorney in the Eighth Judicial Circuit. She began her career as an Assistant State Attorney in the misdemeanor division handling county court criminal cases. Ms. Newman was then promoted to the felony division where she first and second chaired several jury trials to verdict.

Ms. Newman attended the College of New Rochelle and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science before attending Florida Coastal School of Law. While attending Florida Coastal School of Law, Ms. Newman was a member of the Mock Trial Team, and an editor for the Journal of Policy and Justice. Ms. Newman holds her L.L.M. from Western New England University School of Law.

Wes Ridout is a partner in the firm’s Jacksonville, Florida office. His practice largely consists of first party property insurance claims, but he also has substantial experience in creditor’s rights and bankruptcy.

Wes is a transplant from upstate New York, having moved to Florida to attend Florida Coastal School of Law after obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Potsdam and an MBA from Clarkson University.

His litigation experience includes practicing in both state and Federal Courts around the United States, including multiple class action cases and appellate work. He is adept at handling heavily contested matters from presuit through appeal and takes pride in his work product. He is conscientious of each client’s respective preferences and goals on each individual case and is dedicated to achieving the most favorable outcome for his clients.

When Wes is not at work, he can most likely be found in an ice arena watching his son play hockey, on a golf course, or spending time with his family.

Kimberly J. Woods

Kimberly Woods is a partner attorney in Boyd & Jenerette’s Jacksonville office. She practices auto liability defense, insurance defense and general litigation.

Originally from Oakland, CA, Ms. Woods received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Sacramento in 2009 and her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014.

During her time in law school, Ms. Woods was awarded Best Civil Defense Team, Best Cross Examination, and Best Advocate in her Trial Practice class and participated in the 2014 Jessup International Moot Court Competition.

Ms. Woods has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2015 and Jacksonville Bar Association since 2016. Since moving to Florida, Ms. Woods has become a passionate Jaguars fan and loves attending as many football games as she can with her husband, Nathan. She is mother to a daughter, Ryan, and a puppy, Jaylen. She also enjoys kickball, baseball (Go A’s!), and trying new restaurants all over Jacksonville.
